The Hungarian Ministry of Rural Development Fellowship Programme

The FAO / Hungarian Ministry of Rural Development scholarship is now available for students from select countries to study within the MSc in Agricultural Engineering and MSc in Rural Development and Agribusiness courses at Szent István University. This will be the third round of intakes under this collaboration between SZIE, the Ministry and the FAO. The scholarship aims to develop agricultural capacities in developing countries by disseminating the most up-to-date knowledge and best practices in modern agriculture.
The long traditions of Szent István University in agriculture and rural development make it an excellent destination for the students, enabling them to join the diverse international community on campus.
Successful applicants on this round of the scholarship will conclude their studies in June, 2015 and return to their home countries to carry out agricultural development activities in-line with the goals of the FAO. The first round of applicants completed their MSc studies in June, 2012 after successfully completing their studies and thesis work.
Details about the scholarship, requirements and application process can be found on the FAO Capacity Development website at http://www.fao.org/capacitydevelopment/scholarships/en/. The deadline for submission of applications is February 28th, 2013.
